Geography

Towards the mouth of a stream/river the water is usually murky and there is lower O2 content.
Marshes swamps, and bogs are all considered wetlands
Wetlands have the higest species diversity of all ecosystems

Soil conditions:
  • Contains silt which contains particles slightly bigger than clay. Water can drain pretty eaisly but it retains moisture due to its density. High air flow and nutrients.
  • Sand has the biggest particles out of all the soils and it is loosly packed. It does not hold much moisture or nutrients.
  • Clay is fine dense particles packed together. Air doesn't circulate well through it but it is rich in nutrients.
Things to do:
  • River rafting
  • Fishing
  • Swimming
