Most Freshwater is held in ice caps and has low salt concetration.

Temperatures:

• Temperatures may vary
• Rivers are usually much colder than lakes because the water comes from headwater, which may be springs, snowmelt, or other resources.
• Lakes tend to be much warmer because the water is staying in the same position for a longer time.

Time to go:

• The best time to go would be in the summer because the water is warm.
• Water starts getting warmer in the spring.

• Flip flops
